Graduates of the Mechanical Technician program have demonstrated the mechanical skills required to carry out mechanical and manufacturing functions in production and processing environments. Graduates have demonstrated achievement of vocational learning outcomes that relate to the mechanical and manufacturing fields. Graduates of the Mechanical Technician program are prepared to apply their knowledge of manufacturing materials, operations and processes to support the prototyping, production and assembly of mechanical components.
Graduates have developed skills and safe working practices in the use of machinery, tools, and measuring equipment and instruments. In addition, they will apply skills in oral and written communication, teamwork, documentation, mathematics and mechanical problem solving, as well as computer and information technology applications to support mechanical and manufacturing activities. |
