Developed in response to the government's drive for a more physically active and healthier nation, this course will equip you with the knowledge, experience and skills to thrive in the field of physical activity, exercise and health. You will examine the key disciplines of the exercise sciences and physical activity policies, from the causes of disease, to behaviour change strategies, and you will look at the design of interventions which promote and enhance the nation's health through prevention and treatment. From this, you will learn to design and deliver your own physical activity, exercise and health programmes that can have a lasting and positive impact on people's lives.
Some of our recent students have worked on some exciting and beneficial projects including, investigations into the promotion of men's health through premier league football clubs, the effectiveness of programmes designed to impact risk factors for diabetes or obesity, and physical activity and health programmes in the workplace.
