The minimum requirement for admission to any post-secondary program is an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent, or mature student status. A number of programs have specific requirements in addition to this basic standard.

International applicants must provide proof of academic standing equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), Grade 12. Documents for review must be original copies. The following certificates are acceptable for admission:

United States - Grade 12

England, Wales, West Africa and Middle East - General Certificate of Education (O Level) with grades of A, B, C (or 1, 2, 3) in five academic subjects.

West Indies - General Certificate of Education (O Level) with grades of A, B, C (or 1, 2, 3) in five academic subjects, or Caribbean Examinations Council with grades of A, B, C (or 1, 2, 3) in five academic subjects.

Hong Kong - Hong Kong Certificate of Education with credit standing in five academic subjects, or pass standing in six academic subjects, or the Chinese University of Hong Kong Entrance Examination with a pass in five academic subjects.

Other countries - Detailed academic records should be submitted with your application for evaluation.

Students should submit a completed application and transcript to Ontario College Application Services (OCAS) at www.ontariocolleges.ca. The application service will send your application to the colleges you have chosen. You may be asked to complete questionnaires, provide portfolios, attend interviews, and/or take part in testing or information sessions. The application processing fee is $95.00. The application fee is payable to OCAS. The preferential deadline for full-time diploma programs beginning in September is February 1.

An international applicant is a person wishing to study in Canada who is neither a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident as defined by the current Immigration Act.

The mature student clause does not apply to international student applicants.
