Junior School (Grades 7 and 8): Three years previous report cards, the SSAT entrance exam, Pickering College confidential reports completed by the current homeroom teacher, and an interview by telephone or in person.
Senior School (Grades 9 to 12): Three years previous report cards, the SSAT entrance exam, Pickering College confidential reports completed by the current principal, math, and English teachers, and an interview by telephone or in person.
A recognized English language test is required for Senior School applicants.

Pickering College's scholastic year commences in September and ends in June; the admission acceptances are for September only. The application procedure continues throughout the year (October to August) or until the school is full. Applications should be submitted as early as possible to ensure consideration.
Applicants for Grades 7 to 12 must make arrangements to register and sit for the SSAT. Once the completed application has been received, the applicant will be contacted with an interview time. If the applicant lives out of province or country, the interview can be conducted by telephone.
