Requirements for Canadian Students

St. Andrew's College requires an application, a student questionnaire, and copies of two years of previous report cards to be submitted to the school, a school recommendation to be forwarded to the student's current school, an interview to be held (international students are interviewed by telephone), and a Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) must be written. All of these materials are collected and reviewed as a whole to determine the likelihood of the student's success at St. Andrew's College before an offer of admission can be made.

Requirements for International Students

Students applying for Grade 10 and up, whose first language is not English, are recommended to take a TOEFL test as part of the admission process. A TOEFL score of 550 or higher is recommended for these grades. For boys applying for Grades 6 to 8, whose first language is not English, a SLEP test is recommended with a score of 50 or higher.

Procedure for Canadian Students

1. Submit an application for admission along with the completed student questionnaire. The application gives the school all of the information they need to contact you and ensure your application is handled swiftly and without delay. If you need an application, please contact the Admission Office. 2. The applicant must register and write the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). If you did not receive information about the SSAT from the school, you may contact the SSAT Board at (609) 683-4507 for information about dates and locations or visit their Web site at www.ssat.org (for international students) or www.ssat.org/ontario (for Ontario students). If you have any questions about the SSAT, please contact the Admission Office. 3. Deliver the school recommendation to your current school and request they complete the form and return it directly to St. Andrew's. 4. Students will be invited to attend an interview once they have successfully completed the application process. 5. Students and their families are encouraged to visit the school during one of the Open Houses or book a tour through the Admission Office. For Open House dates, please contact the Admission Office.
