Canadian students must apply to School District 47 for admittance and must submit official transcripts of academic standing from previously attended schools and institutions. For Canadians, high school education is provided free of charge.
International students are accepted year-round and must apply through either an approved student selection agency or directly to the International Education Program Director in Powell River. A potential student must submit an official record of academic performance and a completed application form. Letters of reference from school officials are recommended. Applicants are evaluated based on their past performance and their future goals. No minimum TOEFL score is required; students with limited English are readily accepted and receive English as a Second Language instruction within the school system.

Upon acceptance into Powell River International Education Program, students must apply for a student visa by submitting a PRSD Letter of Acceptance, a receipt indicating payment of the tuition fees, proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses for a period of one year and a medical certificate.
