English is the language of instruction at UBC. All prospective students must demonstrate English-language competency prior to admission. Applications for UBC must be submitted online by December 1 for scholarship applicants, and by January 15 for all other applicants. If you are currently attending a secondary school in another Canadian province or territory, have your school send in transcripts in March or April. Final admission decisions for most programs will be made in April/May. The University welcomes applications from outstanding international students. Well-qualified applicants from recognized secondary schools, colleges, and universities will be considered, as well as students applying as transfer students from recognized universities and colleges.
