Northern Lights College offers several programs to recognize student achievement and to provide financial aid to those who require assistance to meet basic educational costs. Awards based on academic achievement include scholarships, medals, and prizes, while those assigned on the basis of financial need include bursaries, loans, and work study. In addition, awards and sponsorship programs administered by agencies external to the College are available to students. Student Services Counsellors and Financial Aid Clerks are available to advise students about loans, bursaries, and scholarships. As well, the College publishes a booklet, "Student Awards and Financial Assistance", which is available at Student Services.
