Founded in 1996, the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences has since received the rare distinction of being granted unconditional accreditation by the Private Career Training Institution Agency both in 1999 and 2008. Our comprehensive and rigorous programs deliver all aspects of TCM including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, diet therapy, Qi Gong, Taiji Quan, Tuina (Chinese bodywork or Chinese massage), and Western medicine and Chinese language components. Our campus is located in Nelson, British Columbia.
In addition to the very comprehensive studies in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, a unique feature of our programs is the integration of Mandarin into the daily experience of the students. In addition, our Business Management course provides students with the necessary business skills required to set up a successful practice in Chinese medicine.
