Bredin Centre for Learning is a non-profit organization founded in 1976. Located in Alberta’s capital city, our main office is nestled along side the beautiful Fort Saskatchewan River in Edmonton’s river valley. Our bright spacious classrooms and resource rooms offer our clients a comfortable and welcoming environment in which to learn and grow both personally and professionally. The heart of our business is our staff, without whom we would be unable to offer the gold standard of service that our community has come to expect from the Bredin Centre. Dedication and passion drive our team forward as we continue to grow and expand our services. Through continual learning and staff development, we’re able to ensure that our clients are receiving the very best our industry has to offer.

Areas of Expertise

The Bredin Centre for Learning specializes in three specific areas, namely: Training (Health Care, Human Service Worker, Pre-Apprenticeship, Safety Training); Work Search Employment Readiness; and Immigrant Services.

Incoming Students

We provide TABE testing (Tests of Adult Basic Education).

Career Planning

Target Employment, available at our Edmonton Downtown Office and our Edmonton Bonnie Doon Mall location, provides Albertans 18 years and older with job search assistance. Let us help you find permanent full-time employment quickly. Worksource, available at our Spruce Grove location, provides job search assistance to Albertans 18 years and older, residing in the Parkland County region. And for students 16 to 24 years old, Youth Connections at our Edmonton Downtown Office helps you to connect to job shadow and employment opportunities. We will even help you explore the career direction you have been looking for. We also provide the Strong Interested Career Assessment Workshop.

We are proud to be an active member of good standing with the following associations: Better Business Bureau – including BBBOnLine Reliability Program, the National and Alberta Association of Career Colleges, the Canadian Public Relations Society, the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, the Alberta Construction Safety Association and the Alberta Association of Services for Children and Families.

Other

The Centre for Internationally Educated Professionals helps internationally trained professionals navigate the obstacles of licensure recognition and secure meaningful employment in their field of expertise. We have other services available to help immigrants and their families participate in the Alberta labour market and integrate into Canadian society.
