In 2005, CBBC moved from 440 George Street to its current location at 315 Jamieson Street in Whitney Pier. From this larger, state-of-the-art facility new programs were offered in Law and Security, Pharmacy Technician, Dental Assistant, Continuing Care Assistant, Aesthetics, Cosmetology, Residential Care Worker, Teacher Assistant, GED, and the unique Phoenix Program (Youth At Risk).
Today, the College offers 11 programs at 2 facilities that employs approximately 35 staff and faculty members and educates over 350 students annually. Brian and his team have continued the legacy of the Messrs. Currie and MacArthur of offering leading-edge curriculum that prepares students to be successful in an ever-changing job market. CBBC has grown to become one of Nova Scotia's leaders in post-secondary education.
Cape Breton Business College offers training in the areas of health care and business.
All CBBC programs require a high school diploma or equivalent GED, face-to-face interview, and aptitude test as part of a final decision on admission at CBBC. A student must maintain a minimum mark of 60 percent - 75 percent (depending on the program).
