The ICT Department of Education is dedicated to the development of curriculum that meets high academic standards under the direction of Gila Strauch, BSc, MSc, MEd, PhD. Graduates of ICT Schools are defined by the ICT Model of Education, which strives for the achievement of excellence in professional practice. ICT Schools has designed a range of complementary therapy education programs at general interest, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Certificate programs are offered in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Thai Massage, Stone Therapy, Swedish Massage, and Relaxation Shiatsu. The Massage Therapy Diploma Program is COMTA accredited at ICT Schools’ locations only. Other undergraduate programs include the Relaxation Massage Program and the Spa Practitioner Program. Graduate programs include the Suikodo Graduate Program and the ICT Teacher Certification Program. Program availability varies at ICT Schools’ campuses and CompuCollege locations. ICT Schools is an education provider for Athabasca University. Graduates from the ICT’s Massage Therapy Program may complete a Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences at Canada's largest and most notable online distance education university. ICT Schools also provides graduate courses that may be taken to meet Continuing Education Unit requirements for professional health care providers. ICT Kikkawa College and ICT Northumberland College are member schools with the Canadian Council of Massage Therapy Schools (CCMTS). ICT programs are approved by the Association of Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners (AMTWP). ICT Northumberland College and ICT Kikkawa College, and the Massage Therapy Programs at these locations are institutions and programs accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA). ICT Kikkawa College and ICT Northumberland College are dedicated to provide an educational experience that is friendly, caring, and supportive. Areas of Expertise

ICT Schools offers complementary health care curriculum development by ICT’s Department of Education. Student-Centered-Interactive-Learning (SCIL) is a learning system developed by the department for ICT students. SCIL is designed to develop the critical thinking skills necessary for health care practitioners. The ICT Teacher Education Certification Program is required training for ICT faculty, providing the teaching expertise needed for adult education programs. Holistic principles are integrated into ICT programs, and at ICT Schools we focus on the Health and Wellness of ICT students, staff, and clinic clients. Suikodo Therapy™, exclusive to ICT Schools, was developed by Shiatsu Master Mitsuki Kikkawa, and ICT students are provided with opportunities to study this unique and effective therapy.
