Lighthouse Labs is an 8-week intensive training bootcamp that aims to teach the fundamentals of web development. We run 60-80 hour weeks, Monday through Friday, in a mixture of lecture and lab environments to teach you how to build incredible web apps using Ruby on Rails (and other technologies).

Lighthouse Labs is a supersonic jet for your career. We've taken the traditional education model and flipped it on its head to teach you how to code faster and better than ever before. Rigorous, fast paced, and focused on having you write your own code (not listening to lectures), our program is for doers. In 8 weeks you can learn to build apps for the Web or for iOS. In the web class you'll learn how to build web apps using Ruby on Rails, Javascript / jQuery, Node.js, HTML5 and CSS3. In the iOS class you'll learn how to build native iOS apps for the iPhone and iPad. We'll also prepare you for the industry by teaching you Git, Test Driven Development, and project management best practices. Plus, our program is fully registered with the PCTIA and we have options available for tuition financing.

Accommodation: We have a team dedicated to managing the student experience and work closely with local landlords to ensure our students can get month-to-month leases for their time with us. It's definitely easiest to stay in Gastown while you're at Lighthouse -- shortening commuting time means lengthening working time!
