In Canada, the health care industry is currently experiencing a major shortage of health care professionals. In the nursing profession alone, there is an immediate demand for more than 10,000 Registered Nurses (RNs). Our country currently has more people over the age of 60 than ever before and people are also living longer. It is no surprise therefore, that hospitals, long-term care facilities, personal care homes, and community care agencies around the province and throughout Canada are in great need of quality, well-trained health care professionals.
