PrairieView School of Photography is a registered private vocational school in Winnipeg, Manitoba that strives to provide a solid foundation in photographic theory and techniques, as well as solid business practises to vocational students. All of the school's teachers are also experienced, practising professional photographers with their own successful photography businesses.

The PrairieView Diploma Program is run in superb facilities including a studio, darkroom, and digital facilities able to comfortably accommodate all types of commercial and fine art work.

Classes are held at the PrairieView School of Photography located at the heart of Winnipeg's photography district. Their fully equipped studio features a wide array of professional lighting equipment. Cameras in large, medium and small formats with lenses from ultra wide angle to super telephoto are available for student use. Their darkroom is equipped with facilities to develop film up to 8x10 and print black and white images up to 30 x 40. Equipment required for alternative techniques like platinum/palladium printing is also available. A state of the art digital imaging centre boasts individual workstations equipped with the latest hardware and software. Featuring Apple computers and the latest scanners, printers and digital cameras from Canon, the digital imaging centre ensures that students are learning to work with the cutting edge of this emerging technology.
