Our College focuses on Hotel Management and because of this we are the experts in training for the hospitality industry. Our exclusiveness allows us to dedicate our resources to providing an exceptional education that prepares students for successful careers in the hospitality industry. Our programs are endorsed by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association. This means that students will be learning from textbooks that are researched and designed by leading academics and industry professionals. For each AH&LA course that students take, they will also receive an AH&LA certificate recognized in more than 130 countries worldwide. Besides, our College has an advisory board and we are proud to be associated with several credible associations including Tourism Vancouver, Vancouver AM Tourism Association, and British Columbia Yukon Hotel Association. Our membership with these Associations helps to keep the College informed and involved in the industry. It also helps our students to obtain valuable industry resources and gain networking opportunities.
Homestay is a program that places international students with Canadian families during the student's period of study. Homestay provides students with the opportunity to experience Canadian culture, meet new friends, and improve English language skills. Vancouver Premier College has teamed up with Canada Vancouver International Homestay (CVI), providing students with the best possible services of homestay. We do our best to provide students with a family that suits their needs and interests.
Placement Fee: $195.00
Airport Pick Up Fee: $ 65.00
Homestay Accommodation Fee: $735.00 per month and Daily Rate: $27.00 (if wishing to stay for shorter than one month).
There are three main programs available:
1. Certificate of Specialization in Food Service Management (4 months, 18 credits) - This program is designed to help you master the skills needed in the food and beverage sector of hospitality.
2. Hospitality Operations Diploma (8 months, 39 credits) - This program will teach you about the key hospitality departments including rooms, sales and marketing, food & beverage, and accounting. You will also have the opportunity to obtain some valuable experience from our practicum work experience program.
3. Hospitality Management Diploma (12 months, 60 credits) — This one-year program is an excellent way to launch your supervisory or management career! You will also obtain important work experience through a practicum or co-op placement.
As an industry driven College, we ensure that our students are well prepared to begin a successful career by the time they graduate. We do so by including practicum, professional development workshops, and industry driven workshops in our curriculum, giving our students many practical opportunities to be active in the local industry, and by providing career search strategies and career placement assistance. We also offer students taking a diploma program the option of taking a co-op paid work experience at a variety of prestigious hotels.

All our students have access to our Student Activity Centre (SAC). This is an area where students can meet, relax, and study. Students can play a game of pool or ping pong, or watch TV or movies. The students also have access to a kitchen, a large patio, and a barbecue. The Professional Development Centre is also the home of our Student Council, which acts as a student representative body elected by the students. The Student Council also organizes, amongst others, the Beer and Wine Club, the Dinner Club, and a Basketball Team.
The College also arranges a wide range of activities for our students so they can experience the excitement of Vancouver. Activities include hiking, skiing/snowboarding, Vancouver Canucks hockey games, live theatre, movie nights, and much, much more.
Students have a computer lab with the latest software and Internet access. Our Student Activity Centre (SAC) also has computer terminals with e-mail and Internet access.
All of our classrooms are fully fitted for multimedia instruction and have digital video projectors, smart boards, PCs, and audio/visual capability.
We have had more than 50 nationalities represented in our student body, including students from Taiwan, Brazil, Japan, Zambia, Korea, Turkey, Columbia, Mexico, India, Nepal, the US, and Canada.
The American Hotel and Lodging Association - Educational Institute (AH&LA - EI), British Columbia Career College Association (BCCCA), British Columbia Yukon Hotel Association, Tourism Vancouver, Vancouver AM Tourist Services, Canadian Association of Private Language Schools (CAPLS), British Columbia Teachers of English as an Additional Language (TEAL), Teachers of English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL), and the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA).
Many of our students work or do an internship internationally. We also have partnerships with educational institutions in Canada, the US, and Switzerland.
