Fanshawe is a comprehensive college serving the greater London region by providing flexible learning arrangements and experiential education opportunities developed in response to labour market needs. One of Ontario's largest colleges, with four campuses in London, Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock, Fanshawe serves close to half a million people with a promise to educate, engage, empower and excite.

We offer more than 200 degree, diploma, certificate and apprenticeship programs to 43,000 students each year, helping people unlock their potential and achieve success in a variety of disciplines including applied arts, business, health care, human services, hospitality and technology. Fanshawe also plays an important role in providing re-skilling and skill upgrading opportunities for mature learners through the design and delivery of custom training for federally and provincially sponsored trainees, community organizations, sectoral training councils and private sector employers in the business, health, industrial and services sectors.

Fanshawe has three traditional residences on campus, as well as townhouse units at 900 Fanshawe College. The on-campus residence buildings and townhouse provide accommodations for 1,616 students. The $9,300 Residence fee includes a mandatory $1,200 meal plan. Fees can be paid in full or in 3 installments (for installment option, add administration fee of $125 and for the manager-approved payment plan, add administration fee of $200).

London is a vibrant city with a wide selection of accommodations and Fanshawe students add a diverse mix to the London community.

Incoming Students

Fanshawe offers orientation sessions at the beginning of every term (August, January, and May) for all new students.

Career Planning

Fanshawe has over 40 years of expertise in employment related training and education. Over 91% of graduates successfully found employment within six months of graduating. The office is located in room F2010 at the London Campus. Career Services also schedules Career Week that includes a Career Fair to help students find a career or summer job. Sports

Fanshawe is a member of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) and the Canadian College Athletic Association (CCAA). A number of intramural and intercollegiate teams play sports throughout the school year including basketball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, cross country running, and floor hockey. The Fitness Club at the London Campus is open to all Fanshawe students.

Activities

Fanshawe's Fitness Centre includes a 1,000 seat double gymnasium with sprung wood floors, weight training and aerobic equipment, health club, and sport medicine clinic. There is also an international-sized, 300-seat soccer stadium and a premier softball diamond.

Clubs

There are over 200 clubs at Fanshawe College including X-FM / 106.9 FM (student-run radio station, which broadcasts within a 75-kilometre radius of London), Fanshawe Tabletop Role Players, Student Administrative Council, and student newspaper, Interrobang and more.

Information Technology

Fanshawe is known for its progressive learning environment, which includes individualized computer learning, videoconference facilities, online courses, resource centres, and libraries.

Cultural

The Institute of Indigenous Learning provides academic services, social, cultural, and recreational activities as well as a comfortable atmosphere for First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and non-status students.

Special Services

Students with disabilities will receive assistance as needed to help them meet the challenges of their program. Assistance includes counselling, assessment exam accommodations, note taking, tutoring, and technical aids.

Fanshawe maintains affiliation with business, industry, government, and other organizations that include the Access to Opportunities Program (ATOP), John Deere Canada Ltd., General Motors of Canada Ltd., London Life, and Rogers Communication. International Involvement

Fanshawe College has a global reach program and is committed to international education and training. The College has developed many overseas initiatives in partnership with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC). These initiatives include providing training, either on site or at Fanshawe, for governments, organizations, and institutions in the Philippines, Palestine, Ecuador, Zambia, Brazil, Jamaica, and the People's Republic of China. Fanshawe also provides customized skill training for Canadian companies serving international clientele.

Restaurants and food services available include The Chef's Table, Tim Hortons, Carvery and Bakery, Pizza Pizza, Subway, Starbucks, BrakeTime Cafe, and two cafeterias (open during the day and serve a variety of hot and cold meals).
