The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences (The Michener Institute) was founded in 1958 and is Canada’s only publicly funded post-secondary educational institution solely dedicated to educating students in a wide range of health care disciplines. We have partnerships with world-renowned health and learning institutions, including Dalhousie University, Laurentian University, University of Toronto, and some of Ontario’s pre-eminent hospitals.

Students who require accommodation while attending The Michener Institute can live in our five-story residence, Schatz Hall. This residence is a wing of Michener's main building and is fully integrated with the rest of Michener. Schatz Hall features fully furnished single rooms equipped with full private bathroom facilities.
Schatz Hall: $850/month, $900/month with linen service.

The Michener Institute's Student Centre, Schatz Hall, has a large gymnasium, squash court, exercise facilities, saunas, lockers, shower facilities, and a lounge. Here students can work on their own fitness program, compete, socialize, or just relax. The Student Council is actively involved in developing an athletics and recreation program, including intramural sports.
Admissions: The Michener Institute accepts applications from international students. Availability of positions may vary across each program. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted in English.
Facilities and Services: The focus for international students is training and preparation in specialty areas, in order to return to work in their home countries.
