The homestay fees are charged monthly. Students over the age of 18 pay $750 per month, and students under the age of 18 pay $800 per month.
ALMA English Institute provides international students with the opportunity to live with a Canadian family while staying in Vancouver. Handpicked host families provide a very hospitable environment for the visiting students. Each family provides a furnished room for the student along with meals and a supportive English-speaking environment.
Vancouver Central Homestay (VCH), a 100% Canadian-made team with more than ten years experience in Vancouver homestay is the provider of homestay services for ALMA. They have hosted students from more than 20 countries. They know how a great homestay should work and that it should be affordable, close to your school and other amenities and safe and enriching experience.
International students enjoy a hands-on orientation for their stay in Vancouver, including getting Student ID Cards, banking, Health Insurance, and Homestay services.
Student Services aims to provide both educational and extracurricular activities for students to learn from and enjoy. These include excursions to Whistler and Victoria, various sporting events, outdoor clubs (camping, hiking), on-campus clubs, visiting Vancouver Law Courts, and organizing events for special days.
Every Friday afternoon the ESL students are accompanied by their instructors on a wide variety of outings and exciting activities that Vancouver has to offer. Students take part in a wide array of activities.
