International Gateway Kelowna (IGK) is Kelowna's original and most trusted ESL school (est. 2002). We are local family owned and operated, and as a result, our students receive a lot of personal attention.
English programs begin weekly for ages 12 and up with a choice of 10, 15, 25, or 30 hours per week (average six students per class). Morning classes focus on the core skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar) while afternoon classes focus on conversation, pronunciation and Canadian culture. Other electives offered from time to time include IELTS and Business Communications.
TESOL certification, Farmstays and Volunteer Placements are offered for adults as well short term ESL action camps for Executives and Seniors.
For youth ages 8-18, IGK offers High School Pathways (5-24 weeks), High School Experience (1-8 weeks) and a variety of camps combining ESL classes with recreation, ice hockey, soccer, animal care, outdoor skills and art.
