A high speed fibre optic network connects most campus buildings and departments. Wireless network availability also exists in some buildings. The University provides over 38,000 Internet accounts to students, faculty, and staff members, including a growing number of SLIP/PPP accounts that provide high quality access to the World Wide Web.
The campus has several small museums, an art gallery, concert halls, theatres, regular live performances, and a campus radio station. U of A has a comprehensive campus recreation program, which delivers recreational and intramural sports, fitness classes, and non-credit instruction to the university community. Student clubs, student run events, and on campus entertainment programming contribute greatly to campus life.

Transit: The Light Rail Transit (LRT) system connects the campus with downtown and north Edmonton. Many bus routes also serve the campus, making access to all parts of Edmonton quick and easy.
