Career Planning

The UVic Faculty of Business believes that combining classroom theories and concepts with real world problems is an integral part of the education process. Working with the M.B.A. Co-op and Career Coordinator, you will develop the skills needed to obtain co-op and career employment opportunities. This is accomplished through a comprehensive program of sessions and workshops designed for M.B.A.s including business career self assessment, career research skills, creating a career marketing plan and networking skills, as well as several others.

Activities

The Business and Economics Building (BEC) is the hub of the business activity. It contains a bistro style lounge, business electronic library, and the Business Co-op and Career Centre. These are exclusively for M.B.A. students.

Information Technology

The Business and Economics Building (BEC) contains a wireless computer lab and business boardrooms, exclusively for M.B.A. students. Adjacent to the BEC sits the David Strong Building (DSB), which holds business classes in rooms wired with state of the art technology.

International Involvement

Our program goes well beyond the classroom with the largest international exchange program in Canada. In partnership with 30 well respected universities around the world, we'll provide you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in another culture while you study. Our co-operative education program lets you gain real, paid work experience with companies both in Canada and in countries like Korea, China, Germany, or Mexico.

Other
