The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) is Canada's premier institute for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM offers a rigorous four-year, full-time doctor of naturopathic medicine program.
CCNM is also home to the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, a dynamic naturopathic teaching clinic where senior clinicians and ND supervisors conduct more than 26,000 patient visits per year.
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine is accredited by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME), the accrediting agency for naturopathic colleges and programs in Canada and the United States.
The ND program is broadly composed of three main areas of study, the biomedical sciences, the clinical sciences and the art and practice of naturopathic medicine. CCNM’s four-year accredited professional program in naturopathic medicine provides more than 3000 hours of classroom training and 1200 hours of clinical experience.

Established in 1978, The Canadian College Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) offers an accredited four year, full-time professional program in naturopathic medicine. CCNM students complete more than 4,200 hours of classroom training and clinical experience supervised by our world renowned faculty and staff. We offer a safe college environment in Canada’s largest multicultural city. There is a 200 room Student Residence, conveniently located adjacent to the main campus building. The residence offers 24 hour security personnel as well as fully monitored security cameras located on the campus grounds. CCNM’s on site Learning Resources Centre boasts a collection of more than 7,000 volumes dedicated to complementary and alternative medicine, as well as access to online journals. The College has a computer lab, a robust IT network, digital lecture theatres, wireless networking, and student e-mail accounts. Health coverage is available.
Thoroughly researched, evidence based Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is the foundation of CCNM’s naturopathic program. CCNM’s research department has received more than 15 research grants during the past year. The Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC) is Canada’s largest natural health centre. Under the direction of regulated naturopathic doctors, more than 100 senior clinic interns treat patients using safe, non invasive therapies. Housed on campus, the clinic boasts more than 40 treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy suite, two laboratories, a woman’s health wing, an infra red sauna, and a student business centre. The diversity of Toronto’s population provides more depth and breadth in clinical learning.
Public demand for high quality natural health care is generating career opportunities for qualified naturopathic doctors. Many CCNM graduates open a private practice or partner with an existing naturopathic or multidisciplinary clinic. Some partner with fitness centres, spas, or corporate wellness programs. Others find opportunities in teaching, research and development, consulting (for government and nutraceutical/pharmceutical companies), and publishing.
There are activities planned year round. They include the CCNM Suppliers Show, Consciousness Week, graduation formal, Grand Rounds, Health and Wellness Fair (Open House), Kids and Teens Health Awareness Week, Men’s Health Awareness Week, Visiting Elders Series, winter formal, and Women’s Health Awareness Week.
We have a number of clubs and organizations to fit every student's interests and passions. Some of these clubs are the Athletics Club, Ball Hockey, Botanical Society, Campus Association for Baha'i Studies, CCNM Christian Fellowship, Group Cardio, Meditation Club, Philosophy of Naturopathy, Taijiquan Practice on Tuesdays, Thursday Night Yoga with Aparna, and Western Wesen Federation.
