We have a new female boarding residence completed September 2007 that is state of the art and houses 50 girls Grades 9 through 12 in single and double occupancy rooms, all with on suite bathrooms. We plan to build a new 50 bed boys residence ready for occupancy September 2008.
Ashbury College provides a wide array of academic and co-curricular activities. We provide the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, the IB Diploma, IB Certificates, and an Ashbury Diploma. We offer over 72 co-curricular activities and are members of Round Square International.
We have a full guidance program and university placement office to ensure students are successful in meeting their goals. We have 100% placement of our graduates in university, with 94% gaining acceptance to their university of choice and our graduating class of 2007 (138 students) won over $4.2 million in university scholarships.
All of our sports happen after school so that all can participate, in addition to lunch time activities. We offer over 52 sports activities throughout the year, co-ed, single gender, individual, and team.
We have a wide array of activities to participate in, from leadership opportunities to service projects locally and overseas, to conferences, debating and multiple day to day activities organized by our student body.
Ashbury offers endless clubs, if someone has an interest we will find a teacher to oversee it, from knitting to guitar, from Model United Nations to World Affairs Club, from chess to debating, there is nothing we will not consider.
We are a fully wireless campus, with SMART boards in the classrooms, laptop loan program in the library, and part of the Carleton University online library and database.
With over 30 countries represented in our school population located in the heart of the Nation's capital with all the national galleries and museums, there is no shortage of cultural exchange and growth for our students.
We are an IB school, which has a strong international focus, a member of Round Square International, and service projects in three countries.
