The aim of Havergal's Guidance program is to help students acquire the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to know and appreciate themselves, relate effectively to others, develop appropriate educational plans and explore career alternatives. This aim is achieved through individual and small group counselling and through a comprehensive guidance curriculum in every grade level. The goal is to have students begin the process of personal exploration and develop skills and resources for life-long investigation and career decision-making.

The co-curricular athletic opportunities at Havergal are designed to encourage a life-long enjoyment of physical activity as well as the development of sportsmanship, cooperation and leadership skills. We offer a wide range of athletic activities to appeal to all students and skill levels. We believe that competitive teams are important for those girls who are skilled in a particular sport and can represent the school at a competitive level in the external league of independent schools. We emphasize the importance of mental and physical fitness working together in achieving one's best. Our 50,000 square-foot Athletic Centre provides expanded facilities for our extensive programs. Havergal operates two computer labs that offer one-to-one student access: the state-of-the-art Multimedia Lab, which includes industry-standard digital video, image manipulation and graphic layout software, and the Reta Weston Library Resource Centre, with 26 computers. There are nine wireless laptop carts for students to use during classroom activities.

Havergal's Global Experience Program exposes students to opportunities to engage in local and international initiatives. Through local and international experiences, students will develop belief in their own abilities and in their capability to learn, acquire new skills and adapt to new situations.
