Located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Sheldon-Williams Collegiate (SWC) is a secondary school and member of the Regina Board of Education. SWC offers international students a first-rate educational experience in Canada. All international students are integrated into the standard Saskatchewan educational curriculum that is taught to their Canadian classmates. The English language ability of international students is assessed before they are placed in the academic program. This placement determines the number and types of courses they will receive. Daily tutorial classes are scheduled for international students to provide necessary support in language based courses such as English literature and social studies. The tutorial classes also assist in developing communication skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students with strong academic records are eligible to participate in enriched programs at SWC. Advanced placement courses in computer science, English, French, and studio art help to prepare students for university studies. SWC has provided a diverse curriculum to secondary school students in Saskatchewan for over 45 years. Subjects taught include applied sciences, biology, English, fine arts, languages, mathematics, physical education, and social studies. SWC graduates are qualified to apply for entrance to universities in Canada, the United States, and abroad.
SWC supports a number of up-to-date facilities including 2 Pentium labs, a Macintosh lab, a Computer Animation lab, and a school-wide ether network. Students have access to e-mail and the Internet. Dedicated drama and music facilities explain why SWC leads the city in arts and drama. SWC also features a tradition of excellence in sports. In its history, SWC has amassed many championships at the city and provincial levels.
On-campus housing is unavailable.
The homestay program places students in Canadian homes to help them master English and learn more about Canadian culture. A fee of CAD $200.00 is charged by the homestay agent for establishing and co-ordinating the placement. Homestay fees are CAD $600.00 per month for room and board. Host families meet students at the airport. Students then participate in an orientation session that, among other things, establishes homestay ground rules for host and guest.
SWC has a full-time guidance counsellor that works with all students. The counsellor provides individual counselling aimed at meeting educational, personal, social, and career planning needs. We also have a learning assistance teacher who provides tutorial assistance in academic subjects.
SWC features a tradition of excellence in sport, producing a World Junior Women's Champion in curling in 1993. The basketball, water polo, track and field, and volleyball programs have also produced strong teams at SWC. Most notably, in SWC's 46-year history, the school has amassed 32 city championships in each of track and field, and basketball.
There are a wide variety of activities and clubs for students to become involved in. Clubs exist in computers, fine arts, photography, chess, and outdoor education, to name a few.

The library also has computers, so students can search for books and complete research on the Internet.
