For more than half a century, the college has evolved to reflect the state of the art of music and the music business, leading the way with the world’s first baccalaureate studies in jazz, rock, electric guitar, film scoring, songwriting, turntables, electronic production, and more than a dozen other genres and fields of study.

With a diverse and talented student body representing 96 countries, and alumni who have collectively won more than 250 Grammys and Latin Grammys, Berklee is the world's premier learning lab for the music of today—and tomorrow.

Student housing is as much a part of the college learning process as the classroom experience. It is an exciting time of self-discovery and discovery of the world in general. Berklee students are exposed to a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, and musical styles. For many students, this is their first experience with the responsibility of independence and the art of compromise that comes with living with other people.

The mission of the Career Development Center (CDC) is to provide expert guidance, leading-edge resources, engaging connections, and professional development programs/events in order to help you reach your music career goals. The CDC focuses on music career management and helps you, the Berklee student, in accessing resources and activities available to you while encouraging you to apply those resources to your own career path.
