Grantham University, established in 1951, offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. It developed as part of the traditional college and university movement of the late 20th Century. In 1951, Grantham opened its main campus in Southern California. Within eight years, Grantham grew to include resident campuses that spanned the United States from Seattle to Kansas City to Washington, D.C.
