Mount Allison is a primarily undergraduate liberal arts and science university with approximately 2,100 full-time students. Students come from more than 50 countries around the world. The university has been ranked Canada’s #1 undergraduate university by Maclean’s magazine 21 of the past 29 years, and is renowned for providing students with an enriching, diverse, and challenging educational experience. Degrees are offered in Arts, Commerce, Science, Fine Arts, and Music. Students can choose from over 40 majors and minors to form a unique program of study that matches their interests and career goals.

With a 16:1 student-to-faculty ratio, there is a focus on the individual, ensuring students receive personalized, one-on-one attention. The University’s immersive learning community integrates an excellent academic program with an abundance of extracurricular and cultural activities. A service fee of $748 is added to the cost of accommodations and covers local phone, digital cable television, hi-speed wireless internet, mini fridge and access to our coin-free laundry room. All fees, including residence, service and meal plans, are mandatory.

Career Planning

Mount Allison offers a unique career planning experience on campus. The University has a career services coordinator who assists students with employment on campus and also with career planning resources and job opportunities post graduation. Sports

Whether you are an athlete or a fan, with over 30 varsity, club, and intramural teams, you will find a place to play or a team to cheer on at Mount Allison. Mount Allison students have access to a wide range of fitness and recreation facilities, including a gymnasium, weight room, pool, fitness centre and dance studio, tennis courts, four playing fields, and an ice rink.

Mount Allison may be located in a small town, but you will quickly realize your biggest challenge is not finding something to do— it is trying to decide which of the many events and happenings you have time for. Information Technology

All students have both wired and wireless Internet access. All residence rooms, campus buildings, and classrooms are linked to the campus network. There are a number of PC and Mac computer labs on campus, as well as computers in the campus library. Each student at Mount Allison University receives a computer account, which gives full access to the Internet, a personal Mount Allison e-mail address, and computer support.

Special Services

The Meighen Centre for Learning Assistance and Research offers support for students with diagnosed learning disabilities. Students may also access a number of resources through our student life office, including personal and career counselling, a campus nurse, student employment information, and academic support. The Wellness Centre offers services to support both your physical and mental well-being.

International Involvement

Ten percent of Mount Allison students are international and come from approximately 50 different countries. To help make Mount Allison a home away from home, we offer a variety of services for international students.

Other

Mount Allison's award-winning dining services offer a variety of balanced, healthy-eating options. The University is also committed to sustainability. Forty per cent of the food offered on campus comes from local providers. Also, the University grows some of its fruit, vegetables, and herbs on its own farm.
