Slippery Rock University enrolls approximately 8,850 students, representing 41 different US states and nearly 37 different countries. As a state university, costs are reasonable. Also, we're pleased to announce that for 2011-2012 tuition has been reduced for international students. The expansive campus is located in a beautiful rural setting, yet is only 50 miles north of Pittsburgh, the second largest city in Pennsylvania. Activities abound outside the classroom, with 17 NCAA Divison II mens and womens sports, more than 150 clubs and organizations, and an extensive selection of concerts, lectures, movies, and special events. A wide array of student services, including on-campus housing, are available.

Over 160 degree programs are offered at the bachelors, masters, and doctoral levels in the Colleges of Business, Information & Social Sciences, Education, Health Environment & Science, and Humanities, Fine & Performing Arts.
