Established in 1852 by the Basilian Fathers and federated with the University of Toronto, Canada's greatest research university, students at St. Michael's appreciate its strong academic programs, its caring faculty and staff, and its dynamic student government. The College's historic and picturesque campus is located steps from the array of cultural, entertainment and sports attractions available in Toronto, one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the world. St Michael’s provides the Kelly Library & Archives state-of-the-art library and residence facilities , and a wide range of student activities and services.

Areas of Expertise

St. Michael's offers unique programs in theology and a wide range of Christian studies. St Michael’s is a university in its own right. Its graduate Faculty of Theology is one of the largest theology schools in North America, and its Continuing Education Division offers an extensive selection of courses and certificate programs. St Michael’s is also home to the Canadian Catholic Bioethics Institute and the renowned Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies.

Campus Tour

Walking tours of the St George Campus are available through the Nona Macdonald Visitors Centre. Prospective applicants are also invited to take part in a St. George Campus Visit starting at 9:30 am on Thursdays and Fridays in October and November. In addition to an extensive tour of the campus, these visits include an opportunity for admissions counselling and a residence tour. Other

At St. Michael’s College there are many opportunities to explore both inside and outside of the classroom. The Office of the Dean of Students mainly focuses on enriching the student experience through “out of the classroom”, or co-curricular experiences through Residence and Campus Life. Residence Life refers to activities that take place in our residence settings for students who live on campus. Campus life more generally refers to all activities that are available for students to explore that are not solely related to residence life.
