Description:

The Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (GDPA) is a one-year program designed for public servants and others who have completed an undergraduate degree at a standing satisfactory for admission to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. It combines the essential components of financial, economic and policy analysis with organization and management theory; courses in quantitative methods are also required. The program is ideal for someone with experience in the public sector who wishes to better understand the principles and concepts of the profession and learn some key specific skills.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    The student must have a GPA of 3.7 (A-) or higher over the four-year duration of the Dalhousie Bachelor of Management program.
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 580] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7.0]
    • Graduate Management Admission Test or Law School Admission Test
    Application Notes : Foreign applicants whose native tongue is not English must complete a TOEFL or IELTS test and achieve a score of 580 or better or 7.0 or better to meet the requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. International applicants must also submit the results of one (1) of the following tests: the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT).
