The Diploma in Human Resources Management (DHRM) program explores how human resources (HR) professionals deal with the management of an organization’s workforce: from the most junior member of staff to the chief executive. The focus of the Diploma in Human Resources Management program is on HR skills that build effective relationships at all levels of the organization. During the program, students will explore several important topics, including workforce planning, human resources development, compensation and benefits, labour relations and occupational health and safety.
The program serves as a solid foundation for managing HR challenges of today’s demanding work environments and allows students with a Bachelor’s degree to pursue the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation without taking the National Knowledge Examination (NKE). The program follows the competency framework as laid out by Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Canada, featuring both technical and general skills, abilities and knowledge necessary to effectively practise human resources in Canada. These competencies are required to earn the CPHR designation. |
