The work leading to the degree of M.A.Sc. provides an opportunity for the student to pursue advanced studies and to carry out research or undertake creative design in a field of mechanical engineering. The primary component of the program is the thesis, which reports the results of an independent research investigation or creative design carried out by the student. In consultation with their supervisors, graduate students set up their programs by selecting courses and a thesis topic; the M.A.Sc. program requires successful completion of at least nine units of courses and a successful defense of a thesis of nine units. |
