This programme is designed to train veterinary nurses to the highest standards to work professionally as part of a veterinary team and also within allied sectors. In response to enthusiastic interest and support from the veterinary profession in Ireland, UCD has collaborated with a wide group of professional veterinary bodies to develop this three-year Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. You will study all the essential veterinary nursing modules to ensure that you qualify as a highly trained and knowledgeable Veterinary Nurse.
Much of the programme is taught on the Belfield campus, while animal teaching is based in the University Veterinary Hospital (UVH) and at Lyons Estate, a special teaching and research facility in Co Dublin. Clinical rotations, a crucial part of your diploma, take place in the University Veterinary Hospital in Belfield. The caseload provides important opportunities for our students to complete your clinical training requirements. |
