Our MChem Study in Industry course is a research-intensive chemistry degree. It combines the core training of our standard MChem with the experience of working in a chemical company during your third year.
During your 12-month placement in the third year, you'll work full-time, doing research in an industrial setting. Our students find placements in organisations from across the chemical sector, including multinational companies like GlaxoSmithKline and Unilever, as well as SMEs. When you return to Sheffield in the fourth year, you'll apply your knowledge and research skills to an extended project in one of our cutting-edge academic labs. |
