St. John's International School is a small private high school that caters to international students aged 13 to 19. We specialize in offering English as a Second Language instruction to produce fluency in students who then move into the academic program and work towards a British Columbia high school diploma. Small class sizes ensure individual attention to student needs.

If required, students are provided a home with a Canadian host family. The family provides a safe and comfortable English speaking environment for cultural learning and language skills development. The family shares their home and lives with the student, while offering proper guidance and caring supervision. Students are given their own room and three meals a day.

When new students arrive at St. John's International School, they are tested to determine their English language ability. They are then placed in the program of study where they would best succeed. Students also receive an orientation of the school before regular classes start.

All physical education classes for St. John's International School are held at a nearby community centre. Students can participate in a variety of sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, skating, etc. St. John's International School offers many extra curricular activities to its students. There are organized camping trips both in the fall and late spring. In February, the students take part in an organized ski trip.
